If you are old enough to remember the fanny pack, you probably remember that it was not one of the finer moments in fashion history. At least not in our opinion. However, there really weren’t that many great fashion moments in the 80s, so the bumbag shouldn’t feel too bad about itself. Especially now that it has been revived by the Australian company, HipS-sister, who has modernized its original horrendous look with a low profile appearance, variety of sizes, a selection of fashion worthy prints, and is actually flattering to a woman’s hips.
The design on these is incredibly simple, including a few obvious pockets, one secret, zippers—and just enough fabric to get the job done. The Left Coast Sister offers the most minimal design with a five inch width and three pockets. Park City pushes the available width to seven inches, with two vertical zippers which can double as hand warmers. The Global Sister has been designed to make traveling easier, and the Fashion Sister adds bright prints, reversible designs, a little sparkle, bedazzle, and a whole lot of creativity.
